Being in the print and promotional products industry, we’re always looking for something to help promote you/your brand. Something to showcase your company culture and separate you from your competition. The challenge comes down to finding something your clients will use, so that they will have your business top of mind. With every business being different and marketing to different demographics/target markets this means that we need to find and offer a wide range of brilliant products.
Let me tell you a story. Are you comfortable? Ok, here we go.
Once upon a time (Just kidding.)
We obviously have companies who market to us to try and keep their companies top of our minds. What do you give to a print and promo company who is in the business of finding brilliant brand building products? Good Question. Can’t be easy. However, there is a company who dropped off some desk calenders 2 years ago. I remember that us admin staff snatched them up right away. They were so handy! The next year, a different company did some and sent them over. Again, a huge hit. This year, the original company came by and dropped off ONE desk calendar. I think we all looked at it like this:
We all ended up getting one in the end, but the point of this story is that this is an item that each of us uses everyday. It’s so handy, in fact, that we fought over that ONE calendar that was dropped off. Their logo is in front of my face, even as I write this blog post. How genius is a product like that? I realize that not everyone needs a desk calendar. Which is why this post is about calendars in general. Wall calendars are pretty awesome too! There are the folded ones we’re all used to, that display one month at a time. The poster type that has the whole year at a glance, and many other styles.
Now is definitely the time to start designing these and getting them on the go! Do so before everyone else, so you don’t risk not being the calendar that your client puts on their wall/desk for the entirety of 2015!
