When our sales reps came back from the Promotional Products tradeshow in Las Vegas this January, I asked the ever-important question. “WHAT’S THE ITEM EVERYONE IS BUZZING ABOUT!?” Ok, maybe less yelling and more excited anticipation. Other than some of the things we’ve already covered, one of the items they mentioned were these Paracord Bracelets.
At first glance, these look like some sort of fashion statement. While this may not go with that dress you’re planning on wearing out Friday night, it can be a lifesaver.
What is Paracord, you ask?
Paracord, or parachute cord, is a lightweight nylon kermantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. However, once in the field, the paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks. (Thanks Wikipedia)
Why is it woven that way?
There are other items like paracord watches, key fobs and belts too. However, the biggest point about the way these are manufactured is that it allows you to carry several feet of parachute cord easily. This is ideal for camping, boating, hunting, hiking and so much more. It would be a great item to have in your emergency kits too. It isn’t labelled a ‘survival bracelet’ for no reason!
One thing I love about these is that there are more than 60 colours available. Not to mention that the imprint method is laser engraving. Talk about classy. These are a very affordable way to be a lifesaver for your customers. In the meantime, I bet you could rock it with that suit and tie/little black dress you’re wearing this weekend. It’s ‘Survival Chic’!
What item is a ‘must have’ in your survival kits?
